Careers

Join our global family of schools and help shape tomorrow's role models.

MCI schools are a wonderful place to work, where the traditional values of our heritage are balanced with each unique cultural landscape to create a vibrant community.

Staff are not only part of a fantastic team working but play an important role within our global community of over 6,000 students and staff. The success of each of our schools depends on a committed, inspiring and experienced team of staff who have a clear understanding of our educational philosophy as well as the flexibility to adapt to the demands of living and working in an international setting.

Our staff all demonstrate a full commitment to our holistic offering, which is at the heart of a Malvern education, contributing fully to the academic, co-curricular and pastoral provision, and life in boarding houses where applicable. We believe it is important for our students to have a firm commitment to deep-rooted values, to be flexible, pragmatic and open to new ideas. We aim to build self-confidence and to develop excellent communication and leadership skills so that our students emerge as lively, articulate young adults ready to contribute to the wider global community. We can only do this with exceptional people who act as role models and help develop these skills and values in others.

Each school works hard to create a strong sense of community for staff to minimise any risk of cultural isolation, providing support with provision of accommodation, transportation, regular social events and a strong team dynamic.

"There is a collegiate atmosphere amongst MCE staff. The leadership have established a professional ethos which is always supportive, with clear aspirations to develop a top quality international school."

Qingdao is a fun and vibrant city, and we enjoy direct flights to Southeast Asia, allowing us to make the most of travel opportunities during school holidays. "China has been the fourth country I've taught in and it has been both a stimulating and, at times, challenging environment. However, the challenges have been made ever so much easier to deal with as a result of the tremendous support that the Chinese staff at MCQ provide to foreign teachers."
