Malvern College Partners with KEIP to Establish Campus in Riyadh

Malvern College has entered a landmark partnership with KEIP, a Saudi education investment platform, to establish Malvern College Riyadh – its first campus in Saudi Arabia, opening by 2027.

The partnership was signed at the Great Futures event in London, a showcase of the success of the last 12 months of UK-Saudi partnership with the objective to deliver growth and prosperity in both countries and co-sponsored by the Rt Hon Jonathan Reynolds, UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade.

Malvern College and KEIP plan to open additional schools and nurseries, extending the opportunity for pupils in Saudi Arabia and across the wider Gulf region to experience a Malvern College education.

Creating Future Role Models

Founded in 1865, Malvern College is internationally recognised for academic excellence, ranking among the world’s top International Baccalaureate (IB) schools. With the examination results across the group consistently exceeding global benchmarks, pupils from the family of schools are regularly offered places at top universities around the world, including Ivy League, Oxbridge, and elite arts and music institutions.

Its distinguished alumni network includes Nobel Prize winners, pioneers in science and technology, and leaders in culture, literature, and sport. Academic excellence is enhanced by a focus on fostering cultural and emotional intelligence, equipping pupils attending the Malvern College family of schools to succeed as role models, ready to explore the world with confidence. Malvern is known for its holistic approach – developing character, resilience, and leadership through strong programmes in arts, culture, and sport.

Keith Metcalfe, Headmaster at Malvern College, said:

“We are proud to be partnering with KEIP to introduce the Malvern College experience to Riyadh. This collaboration is about more than opening a new school. It is about sharing our core values of curiosity, kindness, independence, resilience, integrity and ambition across a global community. Drawing on 160 years of education innovation and proven success internationally, our dedicated team will work alongside highly experienced local partners to ensure this school provides the Malvern standard of education in a way that respects local culture. I look forward to welcoming Riyadh pupils into the Malvern family of schools and continuing our mission to prepare young people to thrive in an inter-connected world and grow into thoughtful and confident role models of the future.”

Malvern College Riyadh will mark the beginning of a multi-school collaboration, with KEIP and Malvern College working together to shape the next generation of leaders and role models across the region.

“We are delighted to partner with Malvern College to bring one of the world’s most respected schools to Riyadh,” Naif Alrasheed, Chairman of KEIP. “KEIP was founded to transform education and to meet the pace of change in Saudi and beyond. By combining Malvern’s world class academic heritage with our ambition, we will prepare the next generation of Saudis to thrive as leaders in an increasingly interconnected digitally driven world.”

His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, Saudi Minister of Commerce, sponsored the flagship summit of the Great Futures initiative in London. During the summit, an agreement was signed between KEIP and Malvern College. The agreement stipulates the opening of Malvern College Riyadh by 2027.
