Quality Assurance

Alongside ongoing collaboration and visits to each Malvern College school, the MCI team undertakes biennial quality assurance visits to each campus.

These quality assurance visits utilise the bespoke MCI Combined Education and Management Audit (CEMA) framework, which in addition to the associated reports form a core part of the relationship between Malvern College International, our partners and schools overseas. Whilst providing an objective review of both the educational operation of the school and aspects of the management processes for the benefit of both MCI and our partners overseas, above all, the process aims to be supportive to the ongoing development and improvement of each school.

The CEMA Framework sets out the core features that should become embedded in an established MCI school as it develops from start-up to steady-state. The CEMA Framework also supports ongoing school development and aims to position schools positively as they look to engage with external accreditation schemes such as BSO, CIS or COBIS. The CEMA Framework focuses on areas ranging from Academic and Pastoral provision to Safeguarding and Recruitment.

The CEMA process is not designed as a one-off inspection process but an ongoing collaborative and supportive aspect of each school’s development. As such, the CEMA process dovetails with other aspects of the relationship between MCI and each MCI school, including Advisory Board Meetings (ABMs).
