This August, she stunned the golfing world at the 125th U.S. Women's Amateur, becoming the first No. 64 seed in 41 years to reach the quarterfinals!🌟 Battling fierce winds and even fiercer competition, Arianna’s resilience and talent shone through as she eliminated the defending champion and powered her way into the final eight. Arianna isn’t just a star on the green, she’s a role model off it too. After excelling in her IB, she’s headed to Northwestern University this Autumn, with a trophy case full of accolades and two nominations for Cathay Hong Kong Sportswoman of the Year. We are thrilled to share that Old Malvernian Emma Wood has won the 2025 Scottish Downhill Championships, held at Glencoe Mountain Resort at the end of last month! Emma delivered a remarkable performance; navigating the rain-soaked and heavily rutted track with precision, she made a bold decision in the final section to overtake a fellow competitor - an audacious move that paid off. She crossed the finish line safely and was elated to discover she had secured the fastest time, earning her the impressive title of Scottish Downhill Champion!🚲 Emma reflects that it was her time at Malvern College that helped inspire her passion for adventure sports: "Thank you to Malvern College for the freedom to pursue my sporting passions and for the many opportunities in adventure sports that helped shape who I am today."
